Was in Vista, CA for a short trip this weekend. Our friend has a new rescue
dog who is a cutie and I am sure happy to have such a loving warm family for
keeps.

While there our friend said you have to walk with her for Molly to see her
friend, the goat. Of course we did. It was the cutest thing I have seen of
animal interaction. Sally told us that at first neither one was sure what
they were or what to do with the other. Now the happiness of both to see
each other is obvious. We stayed about 15 minutes as they played as best
they could through a chain link face.

Sally said, "Wait until we leave. I keep expecting someone to complain
about our visits." When we started away the goat began to cry and Molly
wanted to go back. You could hear the goat crying for quite a while.

It was absolutely heartwarming and sad at the same time.

Wonder what would happen if there was no fence. Molly isn't a large dog by
any means.

Animal inneraction is soo great. You wonder if each of them can
understand the other? Bette

According to her new Mom, it took Molly and the goat several visits to
figure out they might be friends and they could play. But, it is hard to
tell them the play date is over. Especially, for the goat.

I love that. Sally (the dog's owner) doesn't have a computer but I am going
to forward that to one of her daughters who can show it to her when she is
at her house.

animals do form attachments, and do grieve. just because their emotions
do not show as do ours, it is not to say they are any less.
